Power for Everything!

SERMON AUDIO: a-prayer-for-everything-important-10-23-2016
SERMON NOTES: pray-everything-sermon-10-23-2016-notes

O’ God, with all our hearts we long for you. Come transform us to be Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered…

Everybody likes to feel powerful.  Like they are in control of their days, like they can manage every challenge.  But how convinced are we of God’s power in our daily lives?  How convinced are others of God’s power at work in us? While we pray our shared church prayer we investigate today a gap that we feel, between what we say we believe about our present reality and the reality of the Kingdom of heaven happening in our lives.  Come find our the only way our faith makes sense.

While we pray our shared church prayer we investigate today a gap that we feel, between what we say we believe about our present reality and the reality of the Kingdom of heaven happening in our lives.  And no matter how hard we try to be less of a sinner and more of a saint, we can’t seem to close that Gap.  Come find our the only way our faith makes sense.

Everything in its Time

SERMON AUDIO: a-prayer-for-everything-important-09-25-2016
SERMON NOTES: prayer-sermon-09-25-2016-notes

O’ God, with all our hearts we long for you. Come…

In our shared church prayer we investigate our want and attempts to escape the urgent demands of everything in our lives to be with Jesus. But as we see with Jesus and the disciples, the urgent often pressed Him so strongly that slipping away was not possible. So, there must have been something Jesus had that made up for compromised good-intentions. Find out each Sunday through September as we make our way through the new Alliance Prayer!

As disciples of Jesus Christ, all of us are on a journey toward a Christ-centered life. There are certain activities that we assume are the way to DO Christianity, but they leave us in a empty loop of performance-based believing.  There is one catalytic activity that really marks a Christians life and brings spiritual growth and fulfillment to the believer. Find your next step and take a step closer to Christ today.

It’s a Kairos Thing!

SERMON AUDIO: Kairos Sermon MP3_06-22-2014

The trend in Western society is towards standardising experience. Every Tim Hortons you go into you can expect the same environment and the same products,  and nearly the same customer service.  We’ve even done this in church.  Pick any evangelical church on a given Sunday and except for a different playlist and sermon title, the content and experience is nearly the same.  Why because it works.  But it’s boring.

The ancient Greeks had two words for time, chronos, which we still use in words like chronological and anachronism. It refers to clock time – time that can be measured – seconds, minutes, hours, years. And the second is Kairos.  Where chronos is quantitative, kairos is qualitative. It measures moments, not seconds.  Come each Sunday to discover the difference and the difference it can make in your life.

Give Up AMBITION (God’s Kingdom is my Ambition)

SERMON AUDIO: Give Up sermon 03-30-2014

Today’s message explains the necessity to Give Up my Ambition. We live in such a “Never give up” world that the thought of giving up is seen as a weakness.  But there is a time when giving up is not about losing, it’s actually a way to win.  As we journey through the Book of Matthew during this Lenten season we will see Jesus instructing us to give up.  It’s not always what we expect…
