The Man the Lord delights to Honour

SERMON AUDIO: Ty Summer sermon 08-03-2014

This Sunday Pastor Ty brings us a challenge from the Book of Esther. We may not realize it, or want to admit it, but most of us do stuff for an audience of one — ME.  Esther lived in ancient Persia a century after the Babylonian captivity. She was orphaned and adopted by her older cousin Mordecai, an official in the court of king Xerxes.  The king’s highest official was a proud man named Haman. He hated the Jews and he especially hated Mordecai, who had refused to bow down to him.  So, Haman devised a plan to have every Jew in Persia killed.  Pastor Ty’s message is as much wise counsel for handling opposition as it is about how to handle our own pride.
